Park View Community Hub
Project
Feasibility study to assess the feasibility of creating a new community hub to maximise property assets held by the Trust.Client
Trust ThamesmeadOur work included
Rubicon was appointed to develop options and assess the feasibility of creating a new Community ‘hub’ in south Thamesmead, one of the most deprived areas of London. The focus of the project is the re-use and redevelopment of a cluster of properties, owned by the Trust, into a new community hub to meet the needs of local people. We provided technical assistance to review and assess the hub concept, including engaging with and identifying potential users.
Outcome
The Business Case set out a proposed way forward to provide a new ‘fit for purpose’ community hub for local people in Park View / Lesnes and to address local regeneration priorities.“Throughout, David Howells’s contribution was excellent. He has a sharp eye for detail and the experience and imagination to come up with innovative answers to seemingly intractable problems. Rubicon not only delivered to the brief but put in more time and energy than contracted for. I would not hesitate to commission Rubicon again.”
