Rubicon Regeneration was responsible for designing the First Flight entrepreneurship programme in West London, which aims to create, embed and support a culture of entrepreneurship amongst young people.

The programme has three strands:

• Awareness and taster programme to promote and stimulate an understanding of entrepreneurship and self-employment amongst the 13-17 age group.
• Bespoke advice and assistance to young people aged 18-30 to promote self-confidence, motivation and resilience to overcome obstacles and put ideas into action, including counselling, coaching and mentoring and workshops and training.
• Creating a network of affordable and accessible studio/office space for new businesses, linked into existing and new programmes of entrepreneurial skills training, start-up support and business growth.

The programme secured £2.6 million LDA funding with £2.6 million match from the public and private sector. We continue to be involved in delivering the project on the ground.
